All About Cello
The cello, also known as the violoncello, is a string instrument. It is played by bowing or plucking its four strings, which are C, G, D and A from the lowest string to the highest string. It is made out of wood, and the inside is hollow to maximize the rich tone of the instrument. The notes that are played by the cello are usually rather low compared to violins and violas, but not as low as the double-bass.
